How does the training service work?

DesksideGuru uses secure internet conferencing to facilitate customized training right on your computer. Your data security is always paramount in our operations.

How does secure internet conferencing work?

After connecting to the internet, you will go to our website and enter your name and password.

Once you have clicked on a button that says you have agreed to allow us access, we can view your computer screen.

At any time you can click on a leave conference button and you will be immediately disconnected and we will no longer have access to your computer.

How do I get started?

1. Call DesksideGuru at 617-326-3855 or email to schedule your training session.

2. Within 24 hours, you will receive several emails including:

A confirmation of the date and time of the training

A security and  confidentiality declaration

Step by step instructions for the day of training

How does the training session start?

1. Fifteen minutes before the training session begins, log on to our website following the directions you were provided.

2. Call the telephone number provided to speak with your personal guru.

3. You will see a message on your screen from your guru asking you for permission to access your screen.

4. Once you click on allow, your instructor will be able to see your screen and your customized training will begin.

5. When the training session is over, click on leave conference and your computer screen is no longer visible to the instructor.

6. If you ordered a custom manual of your training, it will arrive by e-mail within a week of your class.
